January 1999 marked the relocation of Welding Star headquarters in Manchester to a new, impressive purpose designed and built factory; a project which began in 1996. Situated upon the Wardley Industrial Estate, 10 minutes from Manchester City Centre, the Company is extremely well placed for the national motorway network. The 50,000 sq.ft. factory which incorporates the divisions of Fiac UK, Mosa and Starparts, houses the companies sales, accounts, quality control, information technology and marketing design departments as well as the technologically advanced Fiac production area, large service workshops and demonstration facility. The new, spacious warehouse is dedicated to the huge stocks of equipment and consumables the company has to offer. Welding Star now boasts one of the finest warehousing, service and sales facilities within Europe's Welding equipment Industry. It is from the new headquarters of the Emiliano Generali building where Company Chairman, John A.Wilkinson and his committed workforce look towards the new millennium for the growth and continued success of Welding Star.
